Gourmet Girl otherwise known as Michelle Audria, both artist and visionary has been at it since 2001,
weaving the organic choice into not only her diet but lifestyle and artistic path as well. By the age 18 she knew internally that she was suffering from poor health and made a move to San Francisco from Sonoma County where she immediately got involved with an art scene that supported alternative choices in food. She would soon be lead by a best friend and mentor to Roxanne Klein of Marin County who owned a 4-star raw food dining restaurant. Here she got her start as a hostess and through personality and self-discipline eventually worked her way into a role as an artistic private chef, making local deliveries, hosting parties and working in homes. By 2004, Roxanne's shut its doors and Gourmet Girl went on her merry way to LA, land of all dreams where she was certain to make a splash with her creative and cunning ways in the kitchen, a dreamy, green day job as she secretly continued writing songs and revving her performance skills.
Sure enough, finding interest in the organic, vegan-raw movement came naturally to GG in Los Angeles. Between working privately, even living-in on a private estate in Topanga canyon where she upheald many hats and started a private raw chocolate label, Michelle found time and resources to continue chasing down her dreams, as well.
In the summer of 07' she was referred to producer Cathy Konrad and husband writer/director James Mangold who took to her cuisine through a new spawned interests in healthy foods. From weekly meal prep to fine coursed dinner parties to throwing household birthdays for the boys, Gourmet Girl established herself in their charming household and eventually began working fulltime for the Mangolds in 2009.
She traveled with them throughout Boston, Spain and Jamaica while they shot their new movie 'Knight and Day', learning the craft of preparing and sourcing healthy foods while away from the concentrated abundance of California. Working in a household and providing the level of service Gourmet Girl brings to a family has truly molded who she is today in her professional realm as a chef.
With living foods, local-organic, gluten-free, vegan, primal-raw, gourmet, simple, spa and rustic food knowledge at her core, Gourmet Girl has no doubt that the next level of her culinary journey will sweep her off to an amazing adventure. She welcomes whatever the great universe has intended for her next.
Don't hesitate, do it today, make a change, take a risk and never be afraid to reach out in effort of learning a new approach to a healthy, and happy lifestyle.
Best-
Michelle Audria
GOURMET GIRL
